Traditionally used for making heirloom  rugs for the home, this technique is now being applied in new and  innovative ways across art, craft, décor and fashion.    In this 4  hour workshop, you will learn all the ins and outs of punch needle rug  hooking: stretching your monkscloth on a gripper frame, selecting your  yarn, best practices for using your punch needle, troubleshooting,  hemming and finishing your work -- along with a whole bunch of tips and  tricks along the way.  This is the perfect class for beginners, or  those who have tried punch needle on their own but are looking for more  in-depth guidance on technique.  You'll come away from this class  with a small coaster (mug rug!) in a design of your choice -- and the  knowledge to create future pieces of any size!I

Teacher Bio:

Micah Clasper-Torch is a fiber artist and designer, a Certified Oxford Punch Needle Instructor and the founder of Punch Needle World.  Her approach to Punch Needle is rooted in history and traditional  technique, while passionately encouraging modern applications for this  craft, and championing its visibility in the fiber art world.

Micah  has been practicing punch needle for the past 5 years, and has taught  thousands of students around the world through her online courses on Domestika and Punch Needle Academy.
